Bun hair is the perfect hairstyle during the scorching summer time, for this issue, StyleUp invites hair designer Mickey from Faze Taipei salon to share tutorial for making a Japanese style messy hair bun to our readers.
Step 1: Make a high ponytail
Make a high ponytail at first (as high as you can), here two small tips for high ponytail. You can either lay your head down a little bit or just tip your head upside down to do the ponytail.
Step 2: Fluffing your hair
To make a messy hair bun, use a hair comb to comb from the opposite side of your hair so your ponytail can be fluffy. Afterwards, hold the end of your ponytail and make it around your ponytail, then use some bobby pins to secure your bun.
Step 3: Create some volume around the bun
Don’t forget to messy the rest of your hair! If your hair color is black, please pull the front part hair out a bit so your hair won’t look too neat. For girls who have bangs, just fix your fringe as the way you do so.
Step 4: Enhance with a curling iron
Lastly, use the curling iron to make your sideburns into curls.
